Bloecher Strings Academy is searching for a Violin Instructor The individual must have or be working towards a bachelors degree or higher in music with violin as their primary instrument. The individual must also be willing to attend an audition and interview. Upon hiring, individual must be willing to attend up to four training sessions in Crockett, TX before paid work can begin.
Bloecher Strings will expect violin teachers to commit to weekly teaching appointments at the Academy in Crockett, TX (private lessons and group classes). These appointments will be arranged around the teachers existing academic or professional schedule. Each semester Bloecher Strings will hold master classes and workshops that the new teacher may be asked to lead or assist in. Topics for these classes could include a discussion on vibrato, practice habits, famous composers, a lecture performance, etc. Bloecher Strings faculty members may also be asked to prepare and perform in faculty recitals. Bloecher Strings faculty will additionally be required to attend and assist with student recitals each semester.
Bloecher Strings faculty will be contracted with the Academy for a year at a time. Contracts can be renewed each year based on the needs of the Academy. Faculty will be compensated hourly starting at a rate of $20 per hour. It is the responsibility of the faculty member to log work hours and turn them in to the Director. The Academy will provide time sheets and a pay schedule upon hiring. Mileage compensation for commuters will also be provided.
